Guitar Cases, hard or soft?

Hard is better as it protects your guitar from rapid changes in humidity which can be hard on the neck.

I currently have 14 personal guitars and build around 5 a year to sell, so soft is more economical for me. I do have hard cases for my 67 and 71 strats though

I used to have one that was a combo of hard and soft on the outside it was nice case it was for a nylon string guitar but I also had a soft case for my electric guitar that was nice.

My wife put a box of clothes on top of my hand made acoustic guitar, stored in a soft case in the loft, ruining it. Hard cases all the way.

For my Telecaster I have a nice hard case that’s tweed on the outside and red plush on the inside. It’s a really good looking case.

It makes me happy every time I open it. It makes the presentation of the guitar feel very special. That makes it worth the price for me.
