Maybe the Floyd/Pac replay will be on NBC. Maybe thats why they've timed this card so close to may 2.

It occurred to me that this card is likely the true reason we saw Garcia vs Salka. Garcia looked rough against Herrera. They needed him to beat someone and not look vulnerable.

Crossfit is the opposite of Fight Club. The first rule of Crossfit, is never shut the fuck up about Crossfit.

Broner couldn't stop 5'5 Carlos Molina at 140. He has the ability, but I don't think he wants to commit himself to doing what's necessary to stop bigger fighters now that he's left the lightweight division.

Actually a really solid card. It'll be pretty funny seeing papa Garcia and papa Guerrero talking shit again.

Depending on the odds, I might actually bet on the ghost. Thurman didn't impress last time. Guerrero has a solid jab, a good chin and is fairly aggressive with good body punching. I think if he puts the pressure on Thurman, he can stifle him and keep him from countering. He'll derail one of the more annoying hype trains of late

See this is what I thought when I first heard of the nbc deal. It looked to me like he was protecting his big name and prospects so he could put them on regular ass TV.
So far it is looking that way. I firmly believe this is why haymon had a lackluster year in 2014

On paper...both Thurman and Broner should be big favorites. But neither guy (especially Broner) has looked impressive recently.

If that were the case, I wonder if people would give Haymon the credit. It's hard to hate him for Salka when it leads to this. This is a really good thing.

Thurman gets another walking punching bag as an opponent. This is not a competitive fight. Just because Guerrero got dominated by Mayweather doesn't mean he's all of a sudden a top tier fighter. Thurman will win this one by knockout or very wide UD like the Bundu fight. The only thing Thurman gets out of this fight is a decent name on his resume.

The Garcia-Peterson fight is a lot more interesting. I like Peterson in that one.

yeah i say thurman stops him, but i wouldnt be surprised if guerrero puts up a scrap before getting knocked out, not a bad fight at all.

Cant shit on Molina after the Matthysse fight. Just wondering how much that fight too out from him.

Molina has a good power and if he can touch Broner with it he has a chance.

+ Garcia vs Peterson (which should headline the card IMO).

I'll believe it when I see it.

Guerrero has been nothing short of an atrocity at WW. Someone's going to jump and say "He's 3-1", sure, but all 3 of those wins were hard fought battles against very low rated and low skilled opponents. The one loss was a lop-sided loss to Floyd who is obviously elite. He won those fights, but he took a lot of punishment in the process. Also, this new "Mexican style" of his is going to get him brutally knocked out eventually and I think Thurman is going to be the one to do that.

I don't see this as a competitive fight. It's going to be a one-sided win for Thurman. Either he KO's him or Wins by wide UD.

Its not a bad fight though. I don't see it as some huge step up for Thurman either but I think it is a better opponent than the last guy.
