GSP's competition was the easy one

Gsp fought everyone from d1 wrestlers, Brazilian jiu jitsu black belts, Muay Thai killers, and everyone in between. He's the best example of a true mma fighter we have. But Cheeto fingers says they're all easy, why don't you show us how it's done Cheeto fingers?

Wrong.
If you're looking at GSP's, Jones' and Anderson Silva's opponents inside the UFC at the time they beat them (and excluding double fights or trilogies) the combined records of their opponents look like this:

Silva: 264 wins, 64 losses

Jones: 317 wins, 71 losses

St-Pierre: 338 wins, 57 losses.

He was a boring blanket for most of his career and tapped to strikes from Matt Serra during his "prime". Most people thought he lost to Hendricks as well, and he didn't give him a rematch, though he got rematches vs those he lost to. He could never be considered goat imo.

So who did he not fight?

He beat every single WW contender for a decade.

There was no one left.

Hughes was not washed up when he beat GSP, he was the Champ!

Agree on Hardy, but that's 1 opponent who didn't deserve his title shot. The rest were all top contenders.

I noticed that you cited a lot of their records...AFTER he took their souls.

When specialists get beat at their own game, it's tough to recover. He outwrestled the wrestlers, outboxed the boxers, and completely neutralized the grapplers.

Tell me, what did he not do that you think he should have.

He didn't give Hendricks a rematch because he retired for 4 years. When had returned Hendricks was a fat 185LBer with a 3-6 record since losing to GSP. Hendricks last fight was at the same event where GSP beat Bisping. Yeah sure GSP went up to 185, so why not rematch Hendricks you ask? Because he wasn't the champ and wasn't worth a damn.

Should have given him a rematch before retiring, especially since most thought Hendricks beat the brakes off his cherry picking blanket ass.
