I'm seeing a ton of these "GSP vs Silva" threads lately.....

My question is, where were you guys 5, 6 years ago, when Silva was in his prime?

People were proposing the Silva/GSP fight for YEARS, and Georges made of very clear that he wanted no part of Silva in the octagon. All kinds of excuses from him, and even his fans, who photo shopped him smaller than he actually was next to Silva, to try and legitimize his ducking ( anyone have that image still?)

Then Bisping becomes champ, and suddenly GSP can't wait to fight at MW? Literally couldn't get in the cage fast enough.

Stop trying to rewrite history. It's common knowledge , even among casuals, that GSP ducked Silva for YEARS.

"Size difference bro!!!"

Now, after a brutal leg break, and pushing 44 yrs old, GSP may want to fight him? HAHA What happened to the "Colitis" that he got when he was supposed to fight fight Whittaker?

LOL cherry picking Georges and his fans at it again, is normal

I was here bitching about how they may never fight lol

Making excuses for GSP or telling everyone he should fight Jon Jones instead when Jon Jones was 1-2 fights into his title defense.. lol

It always was an easy fight for GSP, now it's not even a fun fight.

GSP should push for the Khabib fight.

#3divisionsChamp

I'm a fan of Georges, very smart and strategic competitor, didn't like taking risks

Unfortunately Silva was a risky fight for him and, in all probably, the Canadian would have hit the mat unconscious
He knew that and that's why the fight never happened

I'll speak for myself: saying the same damn thing.

I always thought GSP vs Silva would be competitive. I mean, Chael was able to use the same gameplan GSP would have used to almost beat Silva and he has way worse striking and way worse sub defense and I don't think he's as good a wrestler either. I'm bummed we never got to see it before but I'd still be excited for it now, although now I think GSP will win whereas before I'd have been 50/50 on it.

GSP was never once offered the Anderson Silva fight

Dana didn't want to make it

Prime Silva ducked Prime GSP when the UFC was in its prime.

Nope, im right.
He said it in the Bisping press conference, Dana was standing beside him.

They never offered him the fight.

Also.

Wrong.

The former UFC welterweight champion said that he was offered a superfight with Anderson Silva at UFC 186 in April, and he declined the fight because he was busy with other projects and because he was still concerned about PEDs in the sport.

They were in diapers.

Actually, they are still in diapers.

I hope u realize GSP was already semi retired at that point. Never once during his run was he offered the fight, only after he walked away.

He was never offered the fight during his prime or anywhere near his prime, or while he was fighting at all, only after he retired, so you're storyline that GSP ducked anderson has been proven wrong. Take the L and move on

Why don’t Anderson fans have the same voice when regarding Jones vs Anderson?

I'd toy with you some more, but you're doing a fantastic job owning yourself. <Lmaoo>
