Silva loses to Weidman after being top of P4P, Jones gets challenged & to many, beat by Gus after taking over P4P spot, & now GSP in a dangerous fight with Hendricks has a real possibility to lose soon now that he has taken over the P4P spot. Is Aldo next if that happens?

Difference is that GSP is the most well rounded fighter out there. He's been tested over and over before. He's lost the title and regained it. He game plans like no other. He takes his opponent's strength and nullifies it. He's simply the best fighter going right now.

There is a reason why people were talking about the second half of 2013 so highly was the because of the high caliber of challengers lined up.

    Look at the title fights
    JDS-Cain 3
    Weidman-Silva-
    Aldo-Pettis
    Bendo- Grant
    Jones- Gus
    Barao-Wineland
    GSP-Hendricks
    Rousey-Tate 2

All these fights at the time looked like very good title fights

They changed a bit but we saw Weidman take out Silva. Gus basically draw with Jones. I firmly believed Pettis and Grant were legitimate challenges to Aldo and bendo. Obviously the injury caused a mix up in these fights, and we saw Pettis finish Bendo.

The only 2 title fights that didn't live up to the hype were Barao and Aldo. Barao was the one I didn't think was very interesting and Zombie- Aldo could have been a whole lot different if not for the injuries in fight.

Now we also have Mighty Mouse- Benavidez 2 to look forward to as well and Thomson-Pettis look very solid as well(Could make a case Thomson BEAT Melendez in their last strikeforce brawl).

As much grief as Shelby and Silva got for the title fights like Cain-big Foot and Chael- Jones, they should get some serious praise for the second half of the year.

No Champ is safe for the remainder of the year. Even Tate might have something for Ronda

I thought Hendricks was going to clip GSP with a lunging hook long before the Bones/AS fights..

I think if GSP wins, Rory will beat him or he will retire.

he's in the exact same amount of danger vs hendricks as he was against koscheck, maybe a tiny bit more.

Anderson silva was #1 p4p for multiple years.

GSP was #1 p4p on some peoples lists before Jones almost lost to Gus.

He probably won't be throwing his usual punches against a fight like GSP. One wrong move and he's elbowing you on the canvas 3 seconds later.

Playing it safe? More like putting on a "How to MMA" clinic on his opponent. It'll be a textbook example of domination.

Only difference between Hendricks and Diaz will be that Hendrick won't be completely mentally shattered after the loss.

GSP is a human who plays a sport. You're too emotionally invested in a man that doesn't even know you exist. Cheers.
