I don’t see this fight happening but could GSP pull off the win??
Adesanya barely got through Marvin Vettori and Kelvin Gastelum , GSP 50-45.
Adesanya is too long for GSP, Israel also won’t fear George’s power.
I'm still not entirely sure how good Adesanya's TDD and ground game is
Based on his performance against Kelvin, it's safe to say that it's above average but I haven't seen enough to believe he can keep the fight standing against GSP for long enough.
of course GSP gets the win, how can you even ask that?
Israel is still green and improving, he's improved a lot since the Vettori fight. Also he knocked Gastelum down 4x, I wouldn't really call that "barely getting through" him.
GSP met Robert and Romero,
then he retired the next day
he tough they were sent by aliens to take his belts
GSPs game worked by the threat of one facet of his game boosting the effectiveness of his other facets (eg. His Jab set up his double leg). The inverse of this however is that if one aspect isn't effective, the other facets are less effective as well.
Israel is a long, refined, accurate southpaw striker. GSP, on the feet, is a completely lead side dependent striker. He would not have success on the feet.
This would lead to no motivation to close the distance, which is how GSP sets up his most effective takedown attempts. GSP would be shooting for takedowns beyond his striking range, which is terribly ineffective.
The X variable is how fleetfooted Israel is. That decides the match. But, a mobile southpaw that's longer than him is about as terrible of a style matchup for GSP as possible.
