Georges St-Pierre and Dave Bautista Join KICKBOXER Remake

WWE star Dave Bautista and UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre are stepping into the ring for Kickboxer. The project should draw keen interest at the Cannes Film Market, where Brian O'Shea's The Exchange will begin shopping the film to foreign buyers later this week. Hong Kong filmmaker Stephen Fung directs the film. Fung's credits include the wildly popular Chinese martial arts movies Tai Chai Zero (2012) and Tai Chi Hero (2012). Kickboxer also has signed stuntman and martial artist Alain Moussi as its lead.

Kickboxer tells the story of David and Kurt Sloan, the descendants of a well-known Venice, Calif., fighting dynasty. When David wins the Karate World Championship, a promoter lures him to Hong Kong, despite his brother's protestations that the man is a crook. When Kurt travels to Thailand to meet his brother, he discovers he has died, and seeks his revenge.

Fuck all these shitty remakes and reboots.

What did you expect of a (former) MMA-star? GSP starring in the remake of brokeback mountain? It's not like he's oscar material or worthy of much screentime in a summer blockbuster. He needs to work his way up in hollywood.

Would have preferred Bloodsport but this is a start.

Now they need to get Wanderlei Silva to play Tong Po.

Awesome, id love to see him as Frank Dux in Bloodsport next lol (im serious)

Just remake every JCVD movie and replace him with GSP xD

GSP as a Universal Soldier would be awesome, he has the robotic talk down :D

I'm depressed by the fact that instead of a cool 80s tune and the awesome score by Paul Hertzog, we'll get some gangsta hood rap and hip hop shit, maybe some emo music too.

Good call. Gsp already kinda looks like van damme and wanderlei totally looks like tong po right down to the broken english.

So???

The movie is going to suck anyway

I wonder if he called JCVD to ask for his blessing, JCVD has spent time in Tri Star training with him so it's likely given GSP's respectful personality.

we already know that gsp bleeds like mylee .. but is mylee really a good @#$%

Lol 10/10 for the poster who suggest Wandy as Tong Po.

Well, at least the film maker will be educated enough to know that you can't just
place all Chinese actors in place of Thai.
