Anderson is using this opportunity to gain back some fans after getting caught for PEDs. He is doing this for his reputation but what if he gets popped again? Anyways Anderson also is getting paid a ton step up so props to him.

And I would not even be surprised if you were one of those bashing GSP for saying he could fight Bisping, yet Silva fighting DC is great.

it is the point. anderson has balls but he lacks brains. hes going to get demolished and people will talk about what a big mistake it was after the fight.

gsp is too smart to put himself in a position like that.

penn did it but look how it worked out, hes like 1-6 at welterweight and keeps trying to take hard fights and gets destroyed over and over.

Anderson is 0 for 4 in his last four fights, he's lucky the UFC is still giving him fights.
At this point he has nothing to lose.
That's not "balls" that's continuing to fight past your expiry date, and taking whatever you can get.
 
Anderson is already better than GSP. GSP never moved up once and was a boring fighter who left on a loss.

Nothing to lose? There's a very high risk of some serious physical damage being done, stepping in on 2 days notice without a training camp against the LHW champ. Not to mention possibly losing out on future fights and the ability to fight for free, I mean, collect a pay check from his job.

Caught roiding? What does that have to do with now? Are you saying he's pulling one over on the USADA because he hasn't failed a test in over 2 years now?
 
I definitely respect having the balls to take this fight. There's a high risk of being smashed up.

That being said, it's by a fighter who really doesn't have much to lose anymore, which makes it dumb or dishonest to compare to someone that does.

Anderson's legacy is in shambles after he got caught being a PED cheater, plus that he hasn't won a fight in his last 4 attempts. Even being completely smashed by DC won't put him in worse light, but he's guaranteed a great payday at the last stages of his career.
 
Wow, some of you are strange. How obsesses do you have to be to make this about GSP? If he loses some fights, gets popped for PEDS, and then turns down a last minute fight, sure, give him shit. But so far that hasn’t happeden, so it’s so stupid comparison. It’s almost so stupid I wouldn’t even expect it on Sherdog, but nothing surprises me here anymore.
