We all know GSP can beat Silva but he's just waiting to squeeze the most out of WW financially so he takes these lesser fights and deny us the satisfaction to see the best fight possible in MMA in the near future.

We also know Anderson can give Bones the best fight of his life. Yet his friendship with Jon denies us the opportunity to see this bout.

Which gets to you more?
 
Condit nearly took GSP's head off and you think it's some sort of guarantee that GSP can beat Silva? That's like saying it's a guarantee that Silva could beat Jones. Just ridiculous.

Anderson is open to a fight with Jones, he's stated it multiple times. Jones is the one that's been shooting it down.
 
At the end of the day anyone can beat anyone, Condit beat GSP for 1 min in a 25 min fight. Big deal.

Anderson only jokes against fighting Bones, Jon is his friend.
 
Big deal? Nearly getting knocked out then barraged with vicious ground and pound isn't a big deal? Good lord.

saying Jon and Anderson wont fight because there friends is stupid, there not exactly Diaz/Melendez.
 
1) gsp could easily beat anderson? this isn't an easy fight for either of them. you lost all credibility of your thread in your opening sentence.

2) is anderson actually friends with jones? really? no he isn't. he shakes hands with him at shows denies to fight him because he knows that it could break his career.

Neither bothers me. Let them fight in their own weight classes. If one of them happens, cool. If not, no bother.
 
They're all incredible, but they're all scared they're going to lose to the other guy. That's why there are tons of excuses and "friendships" that conveniently pop up between two guys who share very little in common and don't even speak the same language.

The fact of the matter is...there was only one BJ Penn and we're all going through withdrawal because the current top fighters don't have a fraction of the balls that BJ did.
 
didn't Silva just say that he wanted to fight Jones and GSP? and I'm pretty sure that GSP has opened up to the idea of fighting Silva so long as it's at WW and he has adequate time to prepare
