GSP doesn't need to go back to welterweight...

To do what? Fight Tyron once and then? It's pointless...

He doesn't want to go back into that division and do what he already accomplished for a long time.

He wants to end his career fighting super fights/legacy fights/big money fights and he has every right to do so... HE EARNED IT!

Woodley is bad business for GSP extremely high risk/extremely low reward

Woodley can't be outwrestled and would eventually land that right hand. It would be a very bad business decision for GSP to fight Woodley. In all probability, his night would end with him laying unconscious on the mat. The game has evolved, Woodley is the face of the WW division now

true...though I would say GSP has a few more miles on his body and mind.

GSP was a PPV star and one of the faces of the UFC, in addition to the wear on his body...while Tyron is still trying to reach the status that GSP had for YEARS.

GSP started 7 years earlier and has 6 more fights. Everyone ages different, Aldo was out of prime at 28.....go figure.

GSP doesnt want to fight Tyron. Hes been called out multiple times

GSP is already the WW GOAT for now he doesnt have anything to prove at the weight. But his stans need to admit hes ducked Tyron

  13. GSP ducked Woodley for a reason. GSP doesn’t want to get stiffened by Woodley.

GSP is looking for one more huge payday, and Tyron isn't it. Conor or Khabib is the money. He's already the welterweight goat, lets move on.

    So what?

He got a championship belt in a 2nd division...

Now he's eyeing another championship belt in a 3rd division...

Let him make history... he has GOAT status...

what's a bigger legacy fight than beating the dominant WW champion?

What big money fights can he get? Dana will NOT let him fight the Conor/Khabib winner and GSP has no interest in fighting Anderson. So who's left in the money fight column?

And note that GSP is cagey and doesn't really address his plans until after a fight.

Exactly. And the biggest factor is multiple ACL injuries. GSP without explosive TDs and full wrestling ability isn't the same. I still say prime 2009 GSP is the best ever.

    GOAT discussions are pointless.
Prime GSP beats Woodley via Decision
    Today Woodley beats GSP TKO.

Age doesnt take into account the wars and rough training you put on your body long term

These comparisons dont work when you have fighters that age/slow down/motivation changes

Not to mention in 5 years a new GOAT will emerge as they always do in every division. Youll have 50% of the mma fan base claiming whoever beats Woodley to be the next GOAT.
