GSP holds a record that will not be broken anytime soon

How do you figure that?

Koscheck 1: 2 judges had it 29-28.
Shields: 2 judges had 48-47.
Condit: 1 judge had it 49-46.

It's a totally created record to put good spin on gsps run. Who would aspire to that record?

It is difficult to go that many fights with hardly any finishes.

Khabib. Idk about UFC exclusively but him and Cormier have won quite a few in a row.

That's kinda the definition of dominance

So dominant that he couldn't finish though.

It's not about gsp being great or not as I'm not here to hate on him. He was a great fighter but this "record" was created to have a narrative to sell. They (UFC marketing) couldn't sell his amazing knockouts or submissions so it became..well gsp has won x many rounds in a row. Do you know who's record he broke? Neither do I as the record wasn't ever kept before that

A win is a win, no?

In 14 professional fights, Cain Velasquez has lost 1 round: when he got KO'd by Junior.
He has dominated every other fight in his career.

Demetrious Johnson has 16 rounds. Ronda Rousey has 13 rounds.

gsp was the least likely to ever allow himself into a bad position or lose a round. I consider that feat greater then highlight finishes. GSP is the goat

There was also never a record for longest flight, either, until it was set. It's sad that people aren't just happy with wins. They are also displeased with HOW they win (via total dominance every second of the fight).
