The diplomat, GSP threw a handful of names into the mix but failed to mention either Conor McGregor or Khabib Nurmagomedov.

"If you say the more well-rounded guy, I would say maybe Demetrious Johnson,' he added. 'If you ask about who's the guy who faced the most adversity, maybe Jon Jones."

"If you talk about the more flamboyant guy, the one who did some crazy stuff that you only see in movies and stuff like that, I would say maybe a guy like Anderson Silva or Vitor Belfort."

"If you talk about who's the strongest guy, if you would put everybody in the cage, who would come out alive, I think it would maybe be Fedor Emelianenko in his prime."

"If it's to compare every athlete who competed at their time and who was the most dominant at their time, who had the most achievements, for me it's Royce Gracie."

    Its clear...

    GSP is jealous...

GSP has been water dieting, and dropping to 155.

This isn't to detox his body from alien probes, its to fight Conor...

Now that Khabib is gone its the only way GSP can reclaim his legacy is with a triple championship.

He sees Conor as an adversary with his double champ status. He needs a 3rd championship to step away from Conor's roganesque shadow.

He only said the GOAT is Fedor, which is correct.

He said Vitor is up there for guys doing crazy movie type stuff, which is also correct considering young Vitor or TRT Vitor was a freak

As dominant as Khabib is he's definitely not as well rounded as Mighty Mouse. I don't see anywhere that GSP disrespected Khabib. I think most Sherdoggers get butthurt by proxy for their favorite fighters

He also excluded BJ, Hughes, and Nunes

    He's just keeping it real.

Khabib showed great potential but retired too soon.

why would he mention khabib? two and a half title defenses with 90% of his record is basically one round fights in his backyard,no rematches etc, maybe 3 LW of all time but
    nowhere near goat status

Khabib is awesome when he doesn't fight top ranked guys with great wrestling.

What top ranked guys with great wrestling did he avoid?

Or is your entire sample size a close fight when Khabib was green?

Who cares about fucking goat lists? I swear it's the most boring topic in all of Sherdog.

becasue unlike most guys in the GOAT list he has no Losses... and dont bring up that GSP avenged his losses.. once you lose it shows you weren't ready mentally and physically that day so it dont matter if you avenge it later on.. Khabib was ready all 29 times

If they end up fighting (big if,) GSP leaving him off the list could be some good press in their "rivalry". GSP just playing the game.

No, just that he's been awesome fighting top ranked guys without great wrestling.

    Great, that is irrelevant.

Who cares that no blankets managed to dominate LW like they did WW.
