Can't believe people are shitting on GSP like he's the one pulling for this fight. This is Dana trying to make the fight. Can't people read? Why is GSP getting the flack? For all we know he comes out and says this does nothing for him.

Leave GSP alone !

Because this is Sherdog where conclusions are regularly jumped to

I love GSP, don't get me wrong, but I think that if anyone wants this fight, he's the one who wants it the most.

I mean... Chael always talked about how his dream matchup would be the easiest opponent, in the biggest venue, with he highest attendance, for the highest pay.

That's as close of a Chael-esque dream matchup he could have.

There is nothing that indicates that. All we have is an interview from Dana saying he's trying to make that fight.

I really dont want to see that fight, GSP is older and not in his prime but it will just look like vs Nick. But i wouldnt blame him for taking it, its a big name and lower risk then fighting a top guy. GSP at his age shouldnt be fighting champs anyway he will get beat. He just should be honest about it, he wants to make money with a few big fights nothing wrong with it just dont disrupt the current Division.

This would make perfect sense if GSP was Chael

I find it hard to believe GSP isn't involved. Dana mentioned 155 as the weight class which is a specific i don't think he'd mention if he wasn't in talks with GSP. GSP is especially picky when it comes to weight, and although Dana is a liar, I don't think that's the case here.

I love Chael and GSP but aside from a great double leg they have absolutely nothing in common whatsoever

Even in his current form which is bad knees and aging rapidly, GSP would be favored to beat pretty much anyone 170 and under.

Why would Dana want Nate Diaz to fight a wrestler who will 1 million percent blanket him? That makes no fucking sense.

Dana would probably just rather wait and make Conor vs Nate 3 and not give a fuck if Diaz sits on the sidelines or not.

A Diaz loss hurts his inevitable rematch with Conor.

Nate has flat out said he doesn’t want to fight the alien father

This fight won’t happen. But the ufc could have gsp blanket both of them and still have the Conor vs nate fight

No way he would be favorite over Woodley and Khabib. Khabib is undefeated and Woodley would beat him senseless. Why do you think he doesnt fight Woodley, he knows he cant win.

He doesn't fight Woodley because he isn't interested in staying and defending another title reign. That's why its so hard to determine a good fight for him, and no, neither Khabib or Tyron beats a prepared GSP.

Right, but why would you have a Diaz bro fight GSP? It will be a terrible fight and it isn't like Nate is gonna add ppvs to a GSP card

I can see where you're both coming from, and I respect your point, but I think it's just naive to assume that a prize fighter wouldn't like a fight under such circumstances.

Thank God. That fight is not interesting whatsoever.
