In every sport, playing in your own town or country helps A LOT.For example in nba you can say the field dimensions and the basketball are the same,so there should be no advantage but there is a tremendous one.

Will this play in GSP's disadvantage this time around??It's been a long time that he didn't fight in the US i think.

i dont know if it will be a factor but for sure he'll be getting boos if he LnP again.

Not at all, less pressure from hometown fans/crowd, and he fought most of his fights in Vegas than Canada, no big deal

GSP' gonna GSP, doesn't matter where he fights.

Belee dat.

I think he is too experienced and skilled to let that affect him.

As already stated 10-0 in Vegas. Plus, did you hear the crowd go nuts when he came on stage for the weigh-ins today. He will be fine.

Did you watch the weigh-ins? See how GSP got cheered and tonka truck got boos? It's GSP. Unless he is fighting in Stockton against a Diaz, he will always have the crowd behind him. And isn't that what "home field advantage" is?

I would say it's an advantage not the opposite... lots of distraction for him in MTL... I would say his mind is clearer in vegas... the pressure not to loose in front of your home crowd is not something to look over

When you are as cool a dude as is GSP, every city in the world is your home town.

The other guys pretty much said it..

Look at the weigh ins. Georges was smiling and posing for the fans who went totally crazy.
Johny (the american) got booed in his home country.
