It would easily be the biggest MMA fight of all time, in pretty much every sense. Skill level, legacy, PPVs, media attention...it would be absolutely bananas. So sad that it will never transpire, if it was going to happen it would have been booked, now it's starting to cool a bit.

LOL, he ain't a roid monkey, he is as clean as everyone else in the sport LOL.
No I know, and to think GSP didn't have that wrestling background. It shows you it is possible to become a great grappler without having to come from a grappling background.
Clearly GSP was naturally gifted in athleticism, but he for sure put a lot of hard work and time into perfecting it. We can see his love for grappling by the way he still visits BJJ gyms and comes and rolls. This is why Conor could never be a GOAT, he neglected just one aspect of what GSP and other great fighters did to achieve their level of greatness.
I think GSP achieving that level of grappling, and using it to beat wrestlers, is far more accomplishing.

I think so, I wonder if they both would agree to fight. Or some fuckery behind the scenes with Dana, the UFC and money would prevent it.
Maybe Khabib would even say no to GSP after he took his gloves off.

Oh and gsp still trains with the top trainers of multiple sports for fun all the time. He visits freddie roach every week.

Second that with respect to Silva. There was a video on here a few years ago where he imitated a variety of different fighters styles. Even though it was kind of silly and just for fun it made me stop and think about what a student of the game you’d have to be to replicate the styles of completely different fighters so accurately.

The word from the camp is that Nicky is a training room monster. Gordon says he's his toughest roll and from all the other members he doesn't show his true skill in competition. So I bet Nicky beats GSP up.

Yeah it doesn't surprise me, I want to see Nicky and Mica Galvao, see where the are both at skill wise.

I would love to think Danaher is the brains behind them getting so jacked, it would make sense with his matrix eye for detail.
I think Gordons Mrs deals with that side of things, it would be interesting to hear Danahers side on this. I wonder if he factors this into his training for them, and has techniques for steroid and non steroid use.
I remember visiting one academy and the teach was showing us how to break a grip, after showing the technique he then said "And if your opponent is on steroids, you break like this" the way he said it was very serious, and every in the class just looked, well you can imagine.

Savage LOL, possibly, Gordon claims it was from Antibiotics from a reucurring staph infection, Renzo's is or was known for carrying a lot of nasties, a few people I know had a few skin and eye issues from training there. Also when GSP was rolling in a NO GI class, a guy who rolled with him said he could see ring worm on GSP's arm LOL

I'm a Nicky fan so I don't want to see Mica style on him. I just think Mica has a pace Nicky can't handle. Would be a great fight but Nicky I think loses.
 
I love the innovations DDS brings to ground game, but an MMA fighter simply doesn’t require or want to learn all the little things that make someone a phenom in grappling since it would get their head or legs kicked in, during an MMA match.

Dealing with passing the guard in grappling requires a different approach whereas in MMA, you can literally posture, and punch down at an opponents face, if bottom guy inverts, you got hammerfists… Clinches, you got knees and elbows…

Of course GSP gets murked in grappling matches, against the best competition team in grappling today, him conceding or losing positions is normal. All GSP wants is to recognize the set-ups the DDS uses to implement their sophisticated leg lock game and back attacks.
