To all the doubters of the GOAT, here are few reasons why GSP will become the first champ,champ,champ :
- First reason, and the most important one : GSP never takes risks.
Indeed, GSP is known to not be a gambler, he is a scientific when it comes to MMA. He always takes fights he knows he has a very high probability of winning, GSP would never risk his entire GOAT lvl legacy if he didnt know he will beat khabib.
- Second reason, he want to return specifically against khabib and NO one else. This tells me he saw holes in khabib games he can easily exploit. He probably has been training to fight khabib for the past year and is very confident he will beat khabib in particular.
- Third reason, GSP at 38 years old is still a better athlete that khabib will ever be :
Look at this athleticism, khabib cant even run properly or do a proper flying knee.
GSP is in better shape than khabib, age is important of course, but athleticism is even more important. His coaches said many times GSP is in better shape than the majority of the current UFC roster.
Here he is submitting one of the GOAT of bjj, you really think khabib will do something to GSP ??
- Fourth reason, GSP is not that old, 38 years old is not that old in MMA. We have seen older fighters still dominate their division at plus 40 years old ( DC, , hendo, romero, etc ). He took a little amount of damage in his career, and probably has a better chin than khabib who flinch every time he get little bit touched by his opponents. And dont forget the silva vs gsp fight we all wanted, the difference in age between those 2 fighters is pretty much the same the difference in age between khabob and GOAT GSP.
- Fifth reason, GSP will be bigger than khabib. Indeed some people will said GSP is too big for 155, no he wont be too big, he will probably be bigger than khabib but smaller than a kevin lee or an olivier ... for exemple. His size will be perfect to give khabib trouble in the striking and the wrestling.
For those who are worried about the weight cut, just know that GSP has already made weight cut test, and is ready to make 155. Again GSP is a scientific when it come to MMA, he knows he can make 155 healthy.
- Sixth reason, GSP is just a better fighter, GSP is training with the canadian wrestling teams every day, he is an overall better wrestler, and doesnt need the cage to take someone down ... He has the most takedowns in UFC history, the second one being tibau, and we know how this fight went for khabib.
And of course, GSP's striking is so much better than khabib, we shouldnt even compare them in this aspect ... I expect utter domination from GSP.
Conclusion : GSP will become the first champ/champ/champ, haters and khabib fanboys will be crying the night of the fight, deal with it.
