GSP himself confirms he carefully cherrypicked Ping and must continue to carefully choose his future opponents. Power punches like Woodley and Whittaker are too dangerous for his legacy. Thought it was interesting how GSP himself confirmed everything his fan base denies.

Everyone already knew this, going up in weight and beating a MW champion is a low risk high reward situation because he has the built in excuse of losing to someone 15-20lbs more. He doesn't have that against Woodley and Whittaker is the size of a big WW.
 
Anyone who doesn't think he is cherry picking fights is deluded.
 
Any unbiased rational fan knows GSP cherry-picked Bisping and then got on his bike afterwards. That being said, Bisping is still a tough dude and it was a big win.

Ah GSP learning from the McGregor university of no risk, high reward. To be fair, GSP cemented his spot at ww and can do whatever he wants as long as the UFC approves.

I don't care if gsp cherry picks fights. The man ruled a division for a while during his prime. You could definitely tell he wasn't the same fighter in the ping fight. I would like to see gsp fight again, and I don't really care who he fights.

See this is where I disagree

I don’t think sitting out , coming back and fighting specifically one person makes your legacy any better. Belt or no belt. It doesn’t matter. Clearly the sport lacks integrity and rules if that is allowed. Belts are meaningless.

He would have a real hard time with Woodley and he knows it.

A win wouldn't add to his legacy against Wood? C'mon, I'm not buying that. Coming back years later and saying I am still the WW king has no value? Pshaw
 
Most logical people don’t have a problem with him picking the weakest champion the org had at a achievable weight for him.
We KNEW he would do that if he had the option.
And still he came,made weight,beat that ass and since he saw he wouldn’t be able to defend it properly he gave it away.

Fair and square.

Georges is not hiding/holding tittles while vacationing, he hold one of the best records as a champion and he made the UFC a buttload of money.

He have our blessing to do it.
 
w/ that logic, everything is a lose/lose in a smaller weight than 205 now...legacy wise for him.

It has more value then getting a belt from a category he reigned for years.
Or since Bling was so weak it has the same value.
But gives him a better bragging.

Georges “Safe” Pierre doesn’t want to challenge himself. He’s not a true fighter.
 
I love GSP and I've been saying all along he's cherry picking, he gets a pass since he's a nice guy.
