Bisping was blanket-fucked by Tim Kennedy for 3 rounds, if Tim Kennedy can do it GSP can do it.

Remember: ''size does not matter when you are flat on your back''

That's his best shot at winning this, to be sure. Tons of takedowns / GnP.

Not sure he can KEEP Bisping down tho. Dude is a springy mudder fugger, with good scrambles to get back to his feet.

Actually, grappling is where size matters most. That's why MMA fighters cut a lot more weight than boxers.

That said, I still agree with you.

Sure but not on the bottom man. It is hard to get the fuck up.

I disagree. BJJ / No Gi are two of the only sports where they have open weight divisions, and a lot of the times, the guys from the heaviest division don't win (e.g. Marcelo Garcia, Braulio Estima, ...)

How are those open weight wrestling tournaments going? BJJ is still in its infancy kinda like mma. The depth of talent isn't there because the money isn't there. The only reason wrestling has depth is because it is a sport in schools.

I just wonder if GSP is going to look one dimensional. He needs that snapping jab and to control distance like he used to before his last couple of fights. If not he is in big trouble.

TRT Chael had problems keeping Bisping down. I see GSP winning some rounds with better exchanges on the feet.

I think GSP has made the most gains in skill with his BJJ. He's been training in New York a lot with Garry Tonon and the rest of those guys. I bet he can submit Bisping.

I just can't picture GSP as MW champion and then defending against Romero. Bisping wins by training only takedown defense. GSP could pull this off in his prime, but now it's too late.

Maybe but truly WHO CARES?
IF GSP wins, he beats weakest 185 champ of all time and if Bisping wins, he beats a 170er who hasn't fought in 4 years and the last we saw him, he was blistered by big Rigg.

Joke

If I could get on top of the black beast somehow I'm sure I could ride the round out if not land a sub.

I dunno, Rashad, Chael and a younger Tito couldn't hold Bisping down, he's one of the best anti-wrestlers and GSPs smaller than all those guys with 3 years of ring rust.
