So looking at the new rules a 10-9 round specifies.

"Did the losing fighter compete with an attitude of attempting to win the fight or just to survive the offensive actions of their opponent? "

GSP won by a nut hair in his last match, and lets face it, a few years of inactivity does no one good. This is a win or bust year for GSP. His matches are comparable to Damien Maia who I don't even care to see in the first place.

I'm not a huge fan of watching the "blanket" approach, but if he's on top of someone for 4 minutes, he's still gonna win the round.

How does questioning something make someone a hater? Are you all that simple minded? I'm just worried that he will struggle winning the judges decision given his game plans.

My 2 cents on this matter. This is mixed martial arts, and if GSP can take you down, hit you with some elbows and totally dominate you to the point where you can't get him off you...then you deserve to lose! Every fighter goes in knowing what GSP is going to do to them, and his opponents can't stop him from doing it, so they were just not good enough to be champ, and that's it. It doesn't matter to him if people think he is boring, he was dominant! well, except maybe for that lost fight with Hendrix who was probably juiced tot he gills.

When was the last time GSP won by ko, choke or sub??
Back in the days when Rick Astley was high roller.

Im more interested to see how he deals with the IV ban, he's a pretty big guy for welterweight.

why would he do that risking getting koed, gassing, getting revesed when he can comfortably woop your ass for 5 rounds? Contrary to ppls beliefs he is not there to entertain ppl but to win fights.

it says attempting to win the fight, not finish it
    and losing fighter

it doesn't have a lot of bearing on gsp's style

if anything, it seems rounds he wins in which his opponent can do little can be scored 10-8 for him from now on

  15. Actually some of the the new things would be in his favor, if USADA had been in place back then I think his victory would've been solid.

He's a small guy for WW which you would know if you watched MMA. There are bigger LWs.

Are you saying i've been a member of an MMA forum for 4 years and i've never watched an MMA bout? C'mon buddy, cheer up.

And i'm sure there are LW struggling with the IV ban as well, but GSP has taken a long time off and has always been a pretty muscular guy so i think that he might struggle without the IV. Im not saying he wont make weight or anything im just saying im interested to see how he looks at the weigh ins/how he performs.

GSP 50-45 every one of his fights under the new rules. You are the reason people want white belts to not be able to make new posts.

GSP was the smallest top WW in the world. Why would he struggle when his weight cut was so ridiculously easy his team had been trying to get him to fight at LW for years? He's the same size as many of the top LW's, and smaller than some of them too.
