Remember the group behind the cancellation of Dr Seuss? they are teaming up with Google to create "Anti Racist" book list for K-12 teachers. One of the books is by the current vice pres.

This is very concerning what is happening in America. Meanwhile kids in Asian countries and in other countries they are taught very differently and what is going to happen in America with this kind of teaching to children is very concerning.

Nonprofit organization The Conscious Kid has teamed up with Google’s charity arm in an attempt to provide K-12 teachers with an “anti-racist” book list as aid for their lectures, reports The Daily Wire‘s Chrissy Clark.

The Daily Wire also points out that The Conscious Child’s website also features a book titled “Kamala and Maya’s Big Idea,” which is a book that was written by United States Vice President Kamala Harris’ niece Meena Harris.

“Re-evaluate ‘classic’ books or stories which can convey and reinforce outdated values and messaging of sexism, racism, anti-Semitism, ableism, or colonialism. Choose social justice books to help push back against embedded biases and reinforcing values of sexism, racism, or ableism,” reads one of the guidelines.

One of the guidelines even suggests that teachers should encourage their students to “counter whiteness.” The best part is that said guideline falls under the “healthy racial identity” category.

“Counter whiteness as the norm or definition of success and avoid books where characters of color only succeed when conforming to white values or norms,” the guideline states.

If there is a book that has graphic depictions of violence and/or sex, then yes I agree they should probably not be reading those in elementary school. But any progressive or SJW should be nowhere near deciding the curriculum for school reading. We're already seeing some poisonous agendas being pushed in schools already.

I have seen on social media on twitter with parents, and some folks posting material from school on their social media feeds, some complaining about how some kids in a class are being exposed to social justice.

They are pushing SJW material onto English i have no idea why they are pushing social justice material onto English Classes.

This is likely one of those cases (assuming this woman is actually qualified to speak on any of these matters) where the IQ has gone too high. This is the black feminist version of Tesla befriending a pigeon. Minus the accomplishments.

Dr. Suess didn't get cancelled and there wasn't a group associated with it. The Dr. Suess Company made the decision on their own to remove 6 books with Asian stereotypes from circulation.

Foolish takes like this diminish what cancel culture is. It's real. But Dr. Suess isn't an example of it.

You have to hand it to the Seuss marketing team.

They take a handful of titles nobody was buying, cut them from their library very publicly for "racial sensitivity" reasons, and they hit record sales across the balance of their library.
