have you ever rolled with any one what was just speedy as hell on the ground? other than just working sweeps passes, break falls and shrimping alot does any one have any drills they use to get fast moving around on the mat?
 
besides matt drills/technique...proper physical preperation (strength, speed, flexibility, energy systems)
 
i like to run around on my hands and feet like some kind of animal, ill do laps around the mat facing down, then switch it so my butt is facing down, it works for me.

o i forgot, playing on the stability ball works well too, just trying to keep pressure on it at all times, in all positions, sometimes youll lose balance and the ball almost throws you off, it requires some quickness to recover.
 
Get off the computer and go for a run...come back in six months and tell us how it worked out.
 
Learn how to lock them down, and make them play your game..

Sometimes I like going with these little speedball's to learn to keep them from spinning, learn to take their momentum to roll them etc..
 
the more you do something the faster you will become at it..

but other then that, being fast is something inborn.
 
doing drills will help, bt some people are better at scrambling than others, it fits into certain styles better.
