You know what, doesnt Greg Jackson look like screch from saved by the bell minus the fro? on a total unrelated note, I think I might finally watch TUF again just for the Sonnen factor. I saw the fight goes two rounds come fight night.

 

Firstly, if you don't watch the fights on TUF I really don't believe you can honestly call yourself an MMA fan.

Secondly, yes Sonnen will make this the fight. He will be the first guy Jones has fought who will actively try to take him down the whole fight.

 

I hope Greg can solve the Sonnen puzzle.

There were quite a few people who thought Vitor was either going to KO Jones in some Matt Serra-type situation or get mauled, I don't think anyone expected Vitor to almost sub Jones with an armbar off his back. I'll say this, Chael talks a lot of shit, too much shit that doesn't need to happen to sell himself but he does. The thing is, he wins, he doesn't cower, and while I put him on top 10 douchebags of MMA list, I respect what he can do and has done.

lol, you watch a reality show where they hire fighters based on charisma. If you watch that garbage I actually think of people as less of fans.

 

I don't see it. Jones has walked through far better fighters on multiple occasions. I like the effort to sell the fight though.

 

Unfortunately for Chael he doesn't have a style that could win him the fight at any given moment. To win he has to physically dominate his opponent for 25 minutes, and I don't see any MW or LHW ever doing that to Jones.

 

but i dont seee how chael wins this - if he gets top control for five rounds then that would be really surprising considering jones never has gotten taken down

vitor was at least a bjj blackbelt with finishing power - even then, no one liked it - this one just makes no sense man

 

If TUF moved away from the drama format I'd watch it again. I just had to quit watching around the time of "the mole" Jon Dodson. I hate the added drama & shit, I'd just like to see the training & fights, but I know that wouldn't translate so well for the casual fan and is thus unlikely to happen ever.

If I catch TUF, it's on DVR and I can skip to the fight at the end. Everything in the middle is lol. Made that mistake watching Brock's season...fucking Lesnar. I won't ever be able to order a chicken salad again.

Hope West Linn puts up a good fight. Winning is a pipe dream, but Chael didn't take the fight because he thought he could win, he took it because he'll fight anyone as long as the check clears. That's not an insult.
