    Just a quick one....

They have both been training primarily at Jackson/Winklejohn ...
More importantly they have both had decent success.

    Any thoughts?

Last time I can remember this happening was GSP/Condit where Greg Jackson completely stepped back from both fighters and let Zahabi and Winklejohn take care of the fighters

Doesn't Mir train on his own I didn't see Greg in his corner in the Todd fight.

Mir went there for a couple fights, lost them both, went back to doing his own things and hiring his own team and has had some great success doing so. Greg will be in Arlovski's corner.

I think Mir has the right idea, emulating the training regimens of high-level boxers. Instead of sharing Greg Jackson's expertise with 40 other fighters (while trying not to get injured in an overcrowded gym), he hand-picked a team that would focus only on him.

Granted, I still think he loses to Arlovski (and probably most other Top 5 heavyweights), but that's a combination of Mir's age (not that he's any older than most other top heavyweights), years of accumulated damage, and lack of wrestling (Mir's a submission ace and a capable boxer, but without wrestling, can't really dictate the pace/location of the fight, and is often forced to react to his opponent's gameplan rather than impose his own will).

He no longer trains at Jackson's.

Jackson cornered GSP for his fight Condit iirc, despite only being a part-timer vs Condit being there all the time. Could be wrong, but I remember this coming up.

    Other way around.

Edit: Maybe he cornered neither. I can't recall.

Jackson has no problem throwing his fighters under the bus for someone more noteworthy. If he doesn't do that here it may be because neither one could really raise his profile.
