Greece to begin returning migrants to Turkey, effectively closing migrant route to Europe

Do these people have no heart?!?!?!??!?! WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN?!?!?!??!?!?

I wonder how this will play out. I hope this does not result in any terrorist attacks.

millions already in lol, the whole situation in Turkey and Greece messed up with the existing refugees. . . but great job guys, you want a cookie for trying to rectify the problems your open border policies created?

Now that the aryan nation has been superbly enriched guess it time to mend the fence and keep the trash out.

Good luck with that.

I wonder how many of those people are actually going to end up back in the countries they came from, like Afghanistan, and how many are going to try and stay in Turkey.

This is a bad idea that is directly related from as even worse idea.

They should've taken in anyone in the first place - but now that they're there - getting rid of them is going to create even more problems.

Even publicly saying they intend to send some people back will send a signal to migrants planning on making the journey.

So even if not a single person is sent back, it may prevent many from embarking.

The open arms PR from places like Germany is like sending up a bat signal.

Fine, but they still have to deal with the abhorrent mess they currently have. Sending a message to any would be migrants is one thing but the cleanup process they are about to undertake is a nightmare.

Agreed, but what other options are there?

The EU could collectively seal up their boarders and not accept any more people I suppose. They're facing a financial black hole no matter the decision they make.

They have no choice, there is no clean way to fix this.

They should've sealed their borders from the start - but hindsight is 20/20; although A LOT of people spoke out about how bad of an idea it was.

Had to happen eventually I think. I wonder how Turkey is going to be able to handle all these refugees

Yeah for sure. A very foreseeable problem.

Turkey has been threatening to send them to Europe if they don't get more money. So they can be used as a political weapon.

If Turkey sent them all at once it would overload Europe and there is very little defense without facing violence, just like how it was done with the latest wave.

It would be probably be a good idea to help out the country that has taken the largest number of refugees from Syria, if only to help reduce the number of refugees who make the trip to Europe especially now that Greece has warned them ahead of time. Its often better to use the carrot and the stick.

yeah I agree I don't see a problem providing aid to those who put them up closer to Syria. I think that is the best option really. A huge number of the migrants aren't Syrians and aren't refugees so if they knew they would end up in encampments and not a flat in Europe with benefits packages, only the ones that were actually in danger would embark.

It always gets political though and Turkey is using extortion tactics to squeeze more milk out of the cash cow.

It's too late for that in a lot of places..the scope of what has been inflicted is staggering..irreparable, irreversible evil that nothing short of an all out culture war could fix..and that day has long passed with the cultural sabotage that liberalism has orchestrated for so long. Our enemies are savages..and the only true men that could stand up to this filth are nothing but a footnote in history now. Makes me feel sick to think about
