Haven;t see one of those in a while. Let's get this going, especially with Conor Mcgregor coming up in about a week or so.

Its not a troll thread at all, failed drug tests should take you out of consideration

GSP
Jones
Silva
Fedor (too many cans to beat the top 3 and he lost his mojo much younger than silva)
Aldo

If Connor beats RDA then he can be on the list. Nothing short of spectacular so far and has all of the potential to make history a few times over. but it's still too early to actually put him on the same pedestal as people with long title reigns ect.
Now ima sit back and wait for the same people who denounced Aldo as a bum to tell me about how amazing he was and how McG is p4p #1 for beating such a dominant and unbeatable champion....

P4P GOATs according to r/mma:

Somewhat shocked that I'm saying this, but Pendred deserves way more respect than this haha. Dude at least trained and gave it his all in his fights, whereas Sapp took the fall in a handful of fights, Dada's best win was in a Denny's parking lot, and Punk has never even fought.

The difference between Aldo's body in those gifs is night and day. No wonder he looked uncertain going into the fight

In all seriousness.

Fedor
Anderson
Nog
GSP
Bj
Jones
Werdum
Crocop
Wanderlei
Couture

Did you forget to add Anderson? He's probably the actual GOAT.

Problem with Conor is that he's beaten three top ten guys now. He's also never defended a title. The least amount of title defences up there is 3 (both BJ and Frankie defended the 155 lb title 3 times). So that in and of itself means that they each have at least 4 top ten wins (Actually many more).

This isn't to say that Conor can't get to that level, it's entirely possible, but one of the hallmarks of being in the GOAT discussion is sustained greatness not just a great 2 year run. Give him time to stack up some solid top ten wins and then maybe if he's still champ in 4 or 5 years he deserves to be on that list. Could be way shorter if he defends actively!

I don't even know who 1 (sapp?),3 and 4 are.

If you don't know who #4 is then you probably never watched Pride. That makes your opinion on Fedor next to worthless.

What do you mean "Fedor lost his Mojo before Silva"? Rethink that statement. Anderson was a late bloomer and was getting subbed at the age of 29.

Fedor started slipping at a normal age for a professional athlete while Silva hit his stride at an older age. Put it this way...if Fedor retired at the age of 32 like GSP he would have been undefeated. Even GSP was starting to slip before retiring and he had less fights than Fedor and Silva.
