I must also give my vote to Newton/Sakuraba. Not that you asked for a vote or anything.

*After watching nakamura/tokoro I may have to reconsider*

I was watching that and I was like "Wtf thats a knee bar not a kimura" then he switched and then I was like "Wtf thats a toe hold not a fucking kimura" to the commentators... then I realized his name was Nakamura lol.

Just rewatched Newton vs. Saku when it was on Spike like a week ago. So utterly epic.

Also, honorable mention for Shields vs. Mayhem. That was a back-and-forth grappling WAR. I was on the edge of my seat, especially when Mayhem almost put Shields to sleep with an RNC right before the bell went off. I couldn't believe when some people called that a "boring" fight.

newton/sak was so choreographed though. look at 2:00 - 2:10...no resistance at all.

IDK... Dont get me wrong, i love the Sak/Newton fight, but everytime i watch it, i find it more and more likely that it was worked, or they had some arrangement beforehand.

    Great grappling though.

I still don't think i've seen round 1 of Nakamura-Cristea, which I believe is just like the crazy second. Their's some M-1 on tv over here and it always pisses me off that they'll show a whole sloppy ass heavyweight fight, but won't show the full Nakamura fight. I hate tv execs.

Yeah I think it could have been finished sooner but both guys wanted to put on a show for the fans.

I rememeber seeing that first video. Great fight, excellent balls and slick technique. Nakamura always goes for the flying armbar.

A recent grappling classic you should check out (if you haven't already) is Jorge Santiago vs Kazuo Misaki 2 at Sengoku 14. Such an awesome fight.
