I can't speak for the eras before me that I never got a chance to see, but as far as who I've seen and the eras I've seen them play in, my vote goes to Lawrence Taylor, and it's hardly close. I'm not even a Giants fan.

Here is possibly the greatest highlight ever created in any sport. Enjoy.

He paid a 16 y/o $300 to have sex with him.

1. The guy is 59 he was 43 at her birth.
2. He paid $300 that is some cheap shit.
3. If that girl is like 13 months younger hes joining Jared at the kiddy diddling club

What does that have to do with him being one of the best players to ever put on pads in the NFL?

well LT was not a great human being but he was a great football player

I'm sure some will say Barry, I'm sure others will say Joe Montana, maybe even Jerry Rice

I don't know to be honest

just because of the importance of the position i think the answer has to be a quarterback. so im gonna say Brady

He is up there.

I throw out Darrell Green every time this question is posed strictly to rustle jimmies and remind everyone of just how good this guy was.

I'm gonna bet that some of the younger sherdoggers have never even heard of him.

A quitter can't be the greatest.

1. He left the game before getting wrecked. If he'd had the Cowboys offensive line, he'd have set records that would never be broken.
2. Instead, he had one of the worst offensive lines ever and got hit all the time behind the line of scrimmage. Still managed to be great, an exciting player to watch, the only reason to watch the Lions.
3. STFU you dirty so and so.
