No I'm not talking about submissions. This post is for those of you who love the Buffalo Bills, the Bill Buckners, the Chaels..

Which fighters would you rank as the greatest 'chokers' of all time? That is to say, those fighters that you love (or hate) to watch because you'll see a fight completely going their way, but in the back of your head you always have a lingering fear that "they're going to do it again." And sure enough, they do.

Chael is my favorite for this, and I know he has spoken at length to Rogan about how subconsciously he is self-defeatist and used hypnosis to try to get over it, etc.. but are there other fighters in your minds that always seem to be the butt of the Fight Gods' humor? Guys that always have shit go against them when everything is supposed to go the opposite direction?

Chael is pretty notorious even at Team Quest for choking. Lots of top fighters there have called him a choker. He quits as soon as things aren't going his way.

Sage choked without even being choked.

Insert conor getting choked out.

Double choke on his part - chokes in the fight and gets choked out.

Karo was pretty open about his panic attacks

Cerrone.

Even though I love him, he's lost every high profile fight he's had.

Big fan, but Faber seems to win every fight except title fights these days (other than the Edgar fight). Hope that changes this weekend.

Vitor Belfort too. He seems to look like utter shit and like a deer in the headlights far too often on the big stage and he's lost like every title fight he's been in bar the Randy fluke.

Conor went down against Nate and got choked.

Conor goes down on Ido and chokes.

Melvin Guillard was good at sticking his head into a guillotine when things were going well.

Conor....Mentally tapped to Cabo Diaz...Couldn't handle the spotlight

Ronda...Couldn't handle the spotlight

Chael...Couldn't handle the spotlight

Sage..Couldn't handle the spotlight

PVZ...Couldn't handle the spotlight

Brock..COuldn't handle the punches.

Sage choked without even being choked.

Fun fact: Chael always lost in the second round by the same submission before seeing a sports psychologists.

Conor, Chael and PVZ handle the spotlight fairly good I'd say.

Ronda is really the only one you could say didn't but that's because she went M.I.A after the loss to Holly.

Ronda is an unlikable battle axe, but she's handled the spotlight pretty well. She headlined numerous events and won prior to getting clowned. You could argue she doesn't handle getting embarrassed very well.

Love him as a fighter, but Sean Sherk choked hard against BJ, Edgar, and GSP.
I get that with GSP, due to the reach issue, he couldn't defend the GnP.
The gameplan for BJ was laid out already at that point, and it certainly fit Sherk's skill set to a T.
He had a chance to rule that division, but he never could get back on top, even after BJ left.

Holly choked. She had the fight all but won and gave up a sloppy take down to miesha in the last 2 minutes of the fight and then somehow thought good submission defense against a choke was to lift her head and start pawing at Miesha's hands.

Not in any order

Cerrone-he has been destroyed in pretty much every huge fight he had
Sonnen-Lost every title fight he had even in regional events
