Over the years this guy went from bein the dude who nobody knew about that took the strikeforce tournament belt, he had alot of fans from this even earning the name 'black fedor' but through time from the bickering with Jon Jones etc he lost alot of fans even to the point of getting booed profusely at conferences etc.

You could see him questioning himself throughout his career but now through it all I think we all see and respect Cormier for who he is, he's not just a great fighter but unlike alot of other people he's a solid all round guy.

I think the past week or so we've seen people who were previously Jones fans come into realisation that this dude took alot of shit for no reason, and honestly he's just a good guy. dude deserves alot of respect, especially from all the shit he's been through.

I respect him but he's still the absolute worst trash talker in the history of combat sports

I think he learned it from Luke

I respect him, he's a stand up guy, carries himself like a pro. Hespect.

I have a lot of respect for DC, he seems to be a good dude and the majority of his fights are enjoyable. I don't think he will get the chance to fight Jon again, which is a shame.

Cormier is legit but war Silva as always

No matter what happens tomorrow, very much respect Cormier. He is more martial artist, in and outside of the cage, than most.

Well said TS. He is a solid guy.

Of course standing next to Jones he looks like Mother Theresa.

I respect DC for that punch he took from Rumble...

To be the man you have to beat the man...but if the man gets busted for Cocaine, a hit and run and run again, and tests positive 3 days before the headline fight on the biggest card...then you become the man, as incredulous as that may be

Much respect to DC the UFC LHW Champion

I love DC. Unfortunately, he's gonna have a "what if" next to his legacy in the eyes of a lot of people.

Respect to Cormier for taking this fight on short notice. Cormier is at a big disadvantage now because he was preparing for Jones and Anderson had no camp.

He'll also have a 4,500 square ft. home with a large pool and tropical decor in the back, a beefy aftermarketed tricked out truck, a couple of fly cars, millions in the bank, a nice analyst job, hot wife, cute kids and an overall good life. Who the fuck cares what "a lot of people" think? I mean really?

Having grown up in Oklahoma, I will always support any fighter who wrestled at Oklahoma State. But I am definitely more proud of a guy like Cormier than a guy like Hendricks.

Huge respect. The guy is a class act all the way, even through all this Jon Jones PED bullshit, he also happens to be an excellent fighter.

Still bummed we don't get Jones-DC 2 but that's not DC's fault in any way, shape or form. DC is also willing to fight a middleweight on short notice.

Everything he said about Jones was true tho.
And Jones "impressive trash talk" ended as soon as USADA came in and tears started to flow

What's the point of this forum if that's the case? I know DC has won in life and that's great; I'm not taking away from what he's done. I've been a fan since his Olympic and collegiate days. I'm iust saying it will be brought up and we will have discussions about in the future.
