if Fedor didnt exist, Nog mightve been the P4P #1 for a long time, instead of just the 2-3 years he was there for pre Fedor, and then the remainder of his prime he was ranked top 5-10 P4P consistently for 6-7 years starting circa 01 when he beat Mark Coleman the #1 HW in the world at the time (there was a time Fedor and Nog were the 2 best P4P fighters in the world and top 5 P4P consistently at peak). Nog was perennially the #1 before Fedor beat him starting in 2001 and perennial #2 behind Fedor until Josh beat him. But that only lasted a few months until he won the hematch and reclaimed the spot. Cro Cop mightve beaten him in a hematch in that scenario

but hed have a 31-2-1 record by the time he claimed beat Sylvia for the title. 1st loss a blatant robbery to Hendo which he avenged definitively, then the 2nd to Barnett in the GOAT HW fight and perhaps the GOAT MMA fight, which he also avenged. OFC hed have a couple more fights to heplace Fedor but no one else was beating him except maybe a peak Mirko

Nog already has the most wins in HW history even over Fedor, he wouldve had a couple more top wins in place of the Fedor fights likely. He has the resume, heart and allaround skills of the GOATs of any weight class including GSP, Anderson, Bones, Aldo etc. but he doesnt have the sustained dominance as the best in his division like those guys only b/c of Fedor.....Thats insane.
