So now people are conflating mandatory minimum wage increase with voluntary non-minimum wage increase so that they may condescend?

Liberals betraying their intelllect once again.

A Christian boss can be very nice and give everyone a $1,000 raise during Christmas, while a greedy, bald atheist like Dana White can give only 20% of revenue to UFC fighters.

This has nothing to do with whether "leftist policy" is better for the economy or not. These are individual examples of greed or generosity.

He works in financing and payments. He isn't investing billions into R&D and marketing me thinks. It's dependent on the business which would determine whether or not this is viable. This isn't a minimum wage thing either. It's way more complicated.

The guys not a socialist heck he's a capitalist just redirects money to where he believes it does most good. Retention, job retraining, B2B customer relations improve, fewer mistakes, fewer days off ie sick time. He actually has an unlimited employee time off policy yet people take less time off. As far as pay he also has a bonus structure were performance is rewarded hardly a socialist idea.

Great post. The right is hardly christian at all and they seem to have no idea of it either.

69% of atheists are Democrat while only 15% are Republican.

Russian dictator Stalin and Chinese dictator Mao were both atheist in history.

Christian in name only. How did you miss that? Christian when it aligns with their own will, capitalist when it doesnt.

Identifying as Christian is not the same as being Christian.

I'd say most modern atheists are more Christian in their behavior than most self identifying Christian republicans.

It's abundantly clear they don't care about anything but labels and blatant partisan hackery... behavior, actions or blatant hypocrisy don't matter so long as its done in support of the "team".

Everything they find to be: bad/evil/corrupt/wrong = atheist/liberal/democrat/socialist
    Everything they agree with = republican/conservative/trump/christian = good/correct/unquestionable/"fact"

    This thread is a mess.

I like the actions this guy took. Paying your employees a good wage is both good business and a good deed.

This is actually an interesting phenomena that most people don't realize exists, but it's been my experience as well. I've worked for two companies where I've had unlimited PTO, and the feeling you get isn't "I can't wait to abuse this!" but "that's a lot of responsibility; I better use it 'right' so other people don't think I'm a loafer". But since 'right' isn't codified, no one knows what it is so they tend to play it safe. Neither company had a problem with people taking too much time off. If anything you had problems where people weren't taking enough time off - and would still be checking in at work when they did.

What a forum we post in where someone can praise someone else across the aisle, and the peanut gallery throws a fit because there's not enough tribalism.

Where did the principals and values go?

He explains it in the video if you'd like to try reading an OP for a change before immediately switching into partisan defense mode.

Basically there is a popular study that has been around that concludes that people are happiest when they get to making 70-75K a year and there are diminishing returns after that, IE, making more than that doesn't impact happiness much positively or negatively.

    That's twice this week, yikes.

The point is rather obvious. Skilled workers are indeed rewarded monetarily. Unskilled are not.

And there is nothing immoral about that.

That’s why so many rich people stopped moving up the ladder and others have asked for pay cuts. Awesome
