A little help please. I finally decided to shell out the cash for some grappling shorts. The first name that comes to mind is Sprawl, but is there any real good(cheap) alternatives? Also. I seen some shorts by a company called Truth fightwear for only $20. Anybody got any experience with these ? Thanks in advance.

They are good. SSF may cut you a deal and give you some good advice.

Yea SSF makes a short that is just like the truths but Ron usually has stock. They are some of the best bang for the buck shorts.

Mine are just like Truth because Truth makes them for me. Truth is a little cheaper then me but I'll throw in a set of handwraps if you ask;)

Thanks guys for the mention.

Cool, thanks. Btw, when's the new hoodie coming out. I'm buying one of those for sure.

These will be here in 3 weeks with the all black ones. I got a few shipped early so I could give them to some friends as gifts.

Yeah i got a pair of Truth shorts and they are super comfy as well. THe price is unbeatable for a short of its quality. SSF has the exact same short if you dont wanna spend the money for something like NoGi go with Truth or SSF.

Thanks again for the mention guys.
Don't forget the nogi sale and the clearance section that Sprawl has as well. Warrior has shorts for $35 as does HCK and Underhook(all avail at SSF). There are a few good choices for cheapier shorts now days.

Well alot of people on here Love the Sprawl shorts so they must be pretty good. I can atest to the XFGear shorts because I have a pair and they are awesome. I also know other top notch shorts come from Nogi.com and SSFGear.com. Like Ron said Truth and his are the same, but hey you can get some free handwraps if you order from him and you are guaranteed to get your stuff very quickly, he has awesome shipping speeds!

Yeah I second truths I gave in and ordered sprawls and they are awesome with excellent customer service. The deal Ron is cutting is pretty good if I didn't have a pair of truths and 3 pairs of handwraps I'd be all over that like fat chick on birthday cake.

Oh yeah Ron I REALLY like that new sweater and am waiting for it to come out, but what is the material and how much will it shrink when washed?

It's standard sweat shirt material (maybe a little heavier). The hoodies are made a size big so that they will shrink down to fit you like a gi. The black one I am wearing on the site is a large after I washed it 3 times, I tend to wear XL in hoodies but the large fits me perfect in ours.

A month ago I was in the same situation. I was looking for board shorts to grapple. But where did all this board shorts start???
Take a look ata this:

The material is good, they look fantastic and you get the same performance as the fighting dhorts. Furthermore you can use them in the beach. I got them in one week from Honolulu to Switzerland.
Consider it.

SSF I just ordered Underhook grappling shorts from your website. Have you ever tried them before?

I actually just did a search on underhook and saw great reviews about underhook shorts. Wow I am really excited that i ordered them now. Hopefully they are just as good as Sprawl.

Tai-they are super comfy and your range of motion is unreal. You'll like them.

Killa-thanks.

So which brand of MMA shorts are the best around right now? and which one is the cheapest?

Just curious: if you walk around with a shirt that says "[Scientific] Street Fighting" on it, are you more or less likely to get challenged on the street?
