How did everyone do?

I competed at the Intermediate Welterweight NO-Gi. I was doing good. Won my 1st by points by like 20 x 0. The second match I was down by 2 with 1 min left and I was able to sweep from closed guard right to mount and ended up winning by 4. My 3rd match, in which was the semi-finals, I was doing good but I ended up popping a rib, I had no idea how and had to give it up.

I couldn't get there, but a few people from my academy (Team Balance) made the trip. I haven't talked to anyone cause I didn't go to noon class today, cause last night was pretty rough. As soon as I found out I will be sure to post it up. It's a shame you got injured, nice work, sounds like you were making a pretty good run there.

I went to watch, drove around for 45 minutes trying to get a parking spot, couldn't find one and left.

3rd in intermediate light heavy. Went up a skill level, having only trained a little over a year in gi, with maybe no-gi once a week if im lucky no wrestling or prior exp

I took 2nd in exec. superheavy no-gi. Got caught bating my arm for a hip heist. Stupid move that back fired, but I was tired at that point.

Me? If so, no, my division is from 12 to 36 months. Ive been training for about 32 months.

yeah finding parking was pretty ridiculous when we arrived (at about 130)

gotcha, I thought there was a rule that a purple belt would automatically put you in the advanced division.

couple of people from my gym went and my boy who's only been training for about 5 months took 2nd in his whitebelt gi division.

Because the divisions go by time training and not belts? Anyways, this was my last grapplers quest in the intermediate division. Next one I should compete with the big boys... Should be fun!

When you get pass 30 it is open skill, so you could have blacks against noobs in theory

Dude, you went to the GQ and NAGA, this surprises you?? It is a bunch of guys who bring their girlfriends and sandbag bc their girlfriends dont know any better and walk away with a sword or a medal and go home thinking they have actually accomplished something!
