The game’s description adds:

Gran Turismo Sport is the world’s first racing experience to be built from the ground up to bring global, online competitions sanctioned by the highest governing body of international motorsports, the FIA (Federation International Automobile). Create your legacy as you represent and compete for your home country or favorite manufacturer through multiple race class, including GT3, Prototype, Rally, and more.

Release date: November, 2016.

Actual release date: November, 2018.

What a piece of shit. Nearly 3 years to get GT to PS4 and it has no single player career, only a 148 cars (the 350 premium, "future proof" cars from GT5/6 weren't "future proof" after all), less than half the tracks, no dynamic time or weather, etc.

It looks better, but that's it. Also after 3 years of work they are only "50% where they want to be" 5 months from release so expect a typical PD release.

Expect a 2018 release for GT7 and another 2 years for them to finish it.

I think I'll wait for GTA7. Plenty else to keep me busy until then.

Gave up on this franchise, used to be the most innovative. Now we get PS2 graphics and innovation.

GT franchise seems lost to me. Lacks the mindless fun of an arcade racer. Can't compete with true racing sims.

*sigh* as good as GT looked, it played like shit. i could never get it to "feel" right in a car, regardless of setting, and the sounds all sounded bad. I'm pretty jealous of xbox owners and their forza/race games.

bring back the tokyo xtreme racer series!

As someone who really loves Forza (Forza 6 is stunning on Xbox One) i can never really get into GT it has a different feel to it. I didn't like the one i played on ps3 at all (5 i think).

No single player career though? wtf

Goddamn, sounds like GT has fallen off harder than I thought. There was nothing close to its level up to like 3.

Lmao this game looks like shit. Looks like a PlayStation 2 game.

Yamauchi needs to move on GT is dead. Forza is killing them.

5 was absolutely awful. The ps2 games were great from what I remember.

Forza 5 and 6 are fantastic. I was really hoping GT would step it up big time. Sounds like that's not happening.

Also no offline mode/career is an absolute deal killer for me. I'm definitely not interested in online tournaments and racing.

This sucks, I was hoping for a good game.

Notice from this thread that 76 is banned. Wonder what he did.

Mr too.
I'm now wondering how much this will effect sales.

Reading about it more sounds like it will most likely be specifically catering to professional driving gamers with 4 figure wheel set ups. Daily races at specific times in hopes to qualify for a weekly tournament based on lap times and clean driving/race etiquette and then having other major tournaments.

Multiplayer can be fun with friends and doing it casually but like hardcore tournaments judged by FIA rules and whatnot doesn't sound like it's for me.
