Great instruction with all the details again.

Gotta love the basics.

Towards the end I asked myself: "Won't he be able to escape the other side, if I do the hip switch like that?" and a second later he goes:
"Maybe you ask yourself, if...."

Great stuff! That gym looks great as well. Thanks

He has so much confidence that it is fun to watch....its almost arrogant and damn I love arrogance - its intriguing

Awesome Awesome instruction!! Thanks for posting

That's really solid instruction. Reminds me once again that I'm going to have to change schools.

This is a huge part in understanding the BJJ game is understanding how to transition from one position to another. Many fighters focus so much on submissions that they never learn how to get there. It doesn't do you any good know how to do an armlock very well but not how to get there. That is what this video is trying to explain. From the mount you have many options of things to do especially with a gi. I like to stay on top in the mount position and go for the collar choke (my favorite submission) if my opponent blocks I will go for the armlock because they are usually pushing on my chest and giving me the arm.

Man, he's such a good instructor. I love seeing clips with him and his brother (or him and whoever like this one.) So much focus on the little details. Awesome. I was sitting there at the end going, "okay, what part about this am I going to mess up tonight?" And right after that he goes, "you're going to miss the knee stretch and the turning of the hips." And I was like, "he's right...I just forgot about it. I saw it 12 seconds ago and I already freakin' forgot it." I was more focused on tight shoulders, knees in, pop the knee up, over, to the ground and I totally lost the key elements until that point. I must say he is actually one of the better spoken and understandable of the Gracie's.

+1
