Any tips on how to deal with itt? I don't think a simple bandaid is giving it enoguh protection

Might as well cut it off, you don't need that one.

Asking in this forum is about as reliable as WebMD
I know some people don't have insurance and its hard to treat stuff
But at certai point you have to rely on a doctor, not us web geeks.

Health care is free here but going to the doctor for such a minor wound seems a tad too much

looks like a little mat burn to me. put an antibiotic on it every day and tape it up if your going to train. No biggie, I have had mat burn that has lasted quite awhile also. Either that or its Leprosy and if thats the case then you will get to hang out at your own island!

Looks like mat burn. Fix your toenail before you hurt someone.

The hideousness of that foot will haunt my dreams forever.

Sorry to tell you this but . . . you've probably only got a few days to live. Matburn is a killer.

Are you new to grappling or returning after a long break?

It looks like a simple mat burn and the skin does toughen up a good deal with time. Until then, enjoy having your socks get stuck in that shit. Tape it up (perhaps with a bit of plastic over the wound itself) when you're on the mat until it heals.

Our judo club has nice soft mats. I train at a friend's Jiu-Jitsu club sometimes and their mats always do this.

It's mat burn. Solution is to suck it up.

It's the dreaded staph. You're gonna lose that toe for sure.

...or maybe it's just mat burn and you need to man up.
