GOP: It’s a ‘fact’ kids were molested and discovered drugs because teachers went on 1-day strike

Only one thing to do - 24/7 schooling. Won't you think of the children!

I guarantee you more kids "discover" drugs through school than outside of it.

Anything to demonize the enemy, right?

Such intellectual poverty - attributing the absolute worst, one in million outcome to anything your opposition does.

That guy is so out of touch with reality, it's unreal.
He's never witnessed any of the bullshit he's describing because it's a fantasy conjured up in his head.

Where does this rank with

Bevin will most likely lose his position as governor of Kentucky. He pissed a lot of people off over the whole pension problem.

In August 1985, 19 record companies agreed to put "Parental Guidance: Explicit Lyrics" labels on albums to warn consumers of explicit lyrical content. Before the labels could be put into place, the Senate agreed to hold a hearing on so-called "porn rock". This began on September 19, 1985, when representatives from the PMRC, three musicians—Dee Snider, Frank Zappa, John Denver—and Senators Paula Hawkins and Al Gore testified before the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee on "the subject of the content of certain sound recordings and suggestions that recording packages be labeled to provide a warning to prospective purchasers of sexually explicit or other potentially offensive content."

Guy, his wife was the founder of the PMRC. You think Gore had nothing to do with the Senate hearings?

that doesnt say anything about worshipping satan

Since the 80s the GOP has just gotten worse and worse as the decades passed. The party has been hijaked by the wingnuts and now is a straight up reactionary party.
20 years of Fox News and 30 years of talk radio have poisoned the minds of right wingers. Now they are a bunch of paranoid, whiny, conspiracy nuts with a permanent victim mentality.

Technically he is right but it's still a piss poor argument.

Because of that one day strike, the female teacher had sex with a student 1 out of 15 times of their previous encounters

So one is okay? If I felt like spending the time I might be able to come up with others, but I think you would say those are okay too.

1 Gov is now the entire GOP

Imagine if a thread was created that said The Democratic Party: Insert 1 politicians crazy statement

Don't forget all the meth the kid smoked for the first time.

There's only so much space to create titles in. Luckily, people read the first post which explains everything.

<Huh2>
Did you even read the line on the article where it said she sex with the kid multiple times including during the walkout ?Its not like that not having a walkout would have prevented it from happening./ You really are reaching there with that article. Feel free to dig more articles

The premise of this thread is that it's absurd for a Republican from Kentucky to suggest that a walkout may provide an opportunity for these kind of shenanigans. I provided an example from another state where it did, so the premise itself is nonsense. I won't bother to spend time looking for other examples because you are just going to rationalize them away.

Good day sir.

I doubt the majority of the posters think all Republicans governors are stupid just because the governor of Kentucky says idiotic things. However, I'm pretty sure most believe that southern Republicans politicians don't put a priority on education and under fund teachers and schools more than liberal states

https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/rankings/education

Look at the ten worst states in education, what do they have in common? And how well do they pay their teachers and fund their schools? Heck some of them only have 4 days of school instead of 5 and have problems retaining teachers.
