So with all the Covid stuff and a high risk person in my household, even with stuff opening back up we're not fully comfortable just going back to normal simply avoiding massively large crowds. One idea with friend group is outdoor movies and fights, streaming the better UFCs has become fairly frequent for us and setting up something on the side of a friend's house or in garage with door open for ventilation and us spaced apart would at least help give this summer a more normal feel
So, any recommendations on a projector and screen to get, preferably through Amazon? 99% of usage would be hooking a laptop or Switch up to it via HDMI. Sound not overly important, I have a little laptop speaker set with a sub and friend where we'd probably do most of this (nicest house and with a deck) has a sound system we could lug out if small speakers don't cut it. Projector should be able to output the sound though, as when HDMI hooks up I struggle sometimes to get sound to come out of laptop rather than the TV (which would then be projector)
Doesn't have to be a state of the art projector, I'm a pretty budget conscious person, but I also don't want to spend $100 on something that doesn't have good enough brightness or picture quality for it to be an enjoyable experience.
