Hi, I'm looking for a school around pasadena/sgv area. So far I know of wander's place, fight factory(pasadena), Machado's, Cakickboxing in old town pasadena, and new breed. Are there any others around this area? I really don't want to drive that far, so distance is definitely a factor. Anyway, thanks. Oh, and do you know of a good place to get gi's online? What kind of a gi do you think would be good for a beginner. I know I'm probably going to get a gi there, but I will need more than 1. And how important are the rash guards?

Thanks
Jimmy

Check out Fight Factory, Bibiano is giving a seminar there on Weds. 11/15/06. I'm not sure what time.

My buddy lives in SGV and he goes to Hollywood BJJ I think Sean williams runs it there.

Caution: SGV can be a 45 minute or more commute to West Hollywood where Shawn Williams teaches at Hollywood BJJ. Hollywood BJJ is located in or near West Hollywood, just east of Beverly Hills so that would be a haul from West Covina or something in the SGV.

You can't go wrong going to the Machados. They're great instructors who have turned out tons of reputable competitors.
Additionally, Wander Braga is an excellent BJJ instructor (Pride FC uses him to help them evaluate the grappling skills of prospective fighters).

ive heard good things about fight factory, if you're looking for kickboxing try pro training, machados should be real good...if you're looking for cross streets on the first two hit me up.

Machado jiu-jitsu is the shizzle, but they charge alot for lessons.

Machados. I'm spewing I didn't get around to training there when I was working in Pasadena.... sigh...
