Huge emphasis placed on seniority at UPS and FedEx. You're gonna be working preload/offload part time 17-20 hours/week for about $12/hr until a driver retires and opens up a delivery position. I did a driver helper job one X-mas and the driver I was working with said he had to wait 12 years until a position opened up for him. Gotta be patient as shit and play the long game to get one of those jobs, especially if you aren't in a big city. But once you're in you're still part of a decent union and making close to 90-100k.
