Phil Davis extended interview: http://youtu.be/9SpnfNa-Rig
Phil Davis vs Ryan Bader?
I could have sworn they have already fought... it's hard to remember either one of their careers.
Davis is a likeable guy... I think he beats Bader easily.
Davis beat Gustaffson, Machida, Teixeira, Lil Nog, Boestch...
I am only impressed with the Glover win.
you have to be <stupid> kidding me
The man can talk! to bad he is 1 dimensional... wrestle fck or lose!
I don't know how someone who gets boring decision wins over Brazilians and then calls out a declining anderson silva, while calling himself the Brazilian killer, is likeable
Although the andy callout was weird, i think he deserves to call himself the brazilian killer
came in expecting this. OP should be squashed like the cockroach he is.
Davis gets a lot of flak over nothing.
funniest guy in the lhw division
haha, Davis is a funny guy.
This is the problem that is plaguing the UFC right now i believe
Davis gets flack because he is incredibly boring and never seems to take chances in a fight to try to win, he is a fighter he should be judged on his fighting ability not his interviews.
This is the reason guys like CM Punk are allowed into the UFC, same reason why Conor McGregor gets such a huge push from the UFC. Same reason Jones has all the hater's even though the guy is an incredible talent
Slowly but surely the MMA fanbase is turning into a slightly different version of WWE fans, people who care more about he said she said than who is great at what they do.
When I first saw "Mr. Wonderful" in the title, for a split second I thought it was something regarding Paul Orndorff, then I remembered I was in the UFC forum.
Have you even watched him fight? Or did you just see that he's a wrestler who usually goes to decision and you jumped to your conclusion from there?
What is he missing in your opinion if he did make that assumption?
As someone who has watched all his fights I can say there isn't much more to Phil, I thought he was a rising star who could be champ at first but it doesn't seem like he evolved at all. I don't think his striking is any better now than it was when he first came to the UFC
Davis is great at what he does, I really enjoyed his grappling display against Glober, something that Jones was unable to do.
I dont watch MMA just to see guys that are good at throwing punches. I come from a boxing background.
I like Davis as a MMA fighter. Also, he is a likeable guy, he just seems an unaffected man, and pretty funny, unlike Jones. Im not a Jones hater neither.
