Hey guys, I'm thinking about moving to New York to train there.
I've already found good threads from the past about BJJ/MT/Boxing/Wrestling gyms but I haven't found any about where to train S&C.
Now the thing is I'm also considering moving to Montreal and I know of Jonathan Chaimberg's "adrenaline Performance Center", Is there a Fitness center in NYC similar to Chaimberg's?
I'm looking for a place that specializes in explosiveness (Plyometrics) just like the dude from Montreal, I know Chaimberg is an ex-wrestler so the emphasis on explosiveness for MMA fighters comes pretty easy and that's why a lot of MMA fighters train at his center.
So any of you guys know of a good place like the APC?

Well a member of this board, Arlecchino, is a knowledgeable coach in New York. Not sure of his exact location but you could hit him up and ask nicely. He's very blunt and doesn't muck about, fair warning. :)
If nothing else he might be able to point you in the right direction as I imagine he knows everyone of note in the SC game up there.
Also, try not to use words like "explosive" when you describe the training you're looking for if you talk to him.

Thanks man, Why not say "explosive"?
I do want to improve my explosiveness or should I say Plyometrics...

If you move a little west you can commute to NY from New Jersey and Defrancos is only like 20 min away

I think a "fitness center" is, by definition, the opposite of good.

He said fitness center.

Fuck him.

Lost Battalion Hall offers Olympic weightlifting at a very low rate.
haven't gone there as it's in Long Island. Too far for me.
Pretty much nothing beats OLY lifting in terms of explosiveness and coordination.

I checked out Lost Battalion Hall, see their price... and I wanna cry. 100-150/year :(
Here, where I am, the only place that offers some instruction for Oly lifting is through a Crossfit gym, and the price is 120/month. Lucky my military gym has bumper plates and 2 platforms
