When I worked retail, I was in the admin office when a manager took a call for a call out. It was on speaker, too. The manager asked the employee the reason for the call out. The employee mentioned they were having a problem with their vision. They manager said, "What's going on exactly?" The employee said, "I don't see myself coming into work today.", and hung up. The employee was a habitual offender. The manager got all riled up and giddy. He said, "That's it! I got him! He's done!" He was trying to flex when the employee pretty much abandoned their job.
The manager wasn't coming back from that one. That was a good one.
