He comes close to saying GGG is a bum, too. Or maybe I’m the only one who thought he looked good on Friday.Ridiculous, Canelo is the pinnacle of the sport by any metric. He doesn’t chase any one or any thing, it’s everyone else that’s chasing him.
This columnist is a shit head, saying Danny, Kovalev and Smith are bums. The whole damn pice was just a GGG blow job.
If even GGG isn’t good enough who is? Are we supposed to dig up Ray Robinson? He comes close to saying GGG is a bum, too. Or maybe I’m the only one who thought he looked good on Friday.
Well, he could’ve fought Beterbiev instead of Kovalev (would’ve picked up 2 belts instead of 1). I understand the business angle driving his decisions, but he has to balance that with legacy fights. I do think they should’ve run the triple G fight back immediately. What’s he supposed to do? The opposition that a fighter like De La Hoya had in the 90s doesn’t exist today, so he’s stuck with Callum Smith, BJS, Bivol and a few others only known to hardcore boxing fans.
GGG isn’t who he was 3,4 yrs ago. Saying someone is past prime isn’t saying he’s a bum.He comes close to saying GGG is a bum, too. Or maybe I’m the only one who thought he looked good on Friday.
Kovalev was washed when Canelo fought him, and Smith IS a bum for someone of Canelo’s caliber. The author never called Danny a bum, he gave credit for the Danny Jacob’s win.Ridiculous, Canelo is the pinnacle of the sport by any metric. He doesn’t chase any one or any thing, it’s everyone else that’s chasing him.

He's the same dipshit writing a "boxing is dying" article every couple of months. This shit popped up on google this morning. This Hernandez guy knows jack shit about Boxing.

Maybe so. But he’s right on the money with this article. Sometimes bad journalists get it right once in a while .This shit popped up on google this morning. This Hernandez guy knows jack shit about Boxing.
Why is it absurd? The fact that we accept that a P4P fighter moves into a new weight class without challenging the best at that weight class is pretty sad. I understand he’s just collecting belts, but why should that be a credit to his legacy? Who you got the belt from should be as important as getting it. If Beterbiev is too big for Canelo then he shouldn’t have ventured to 175 at all.He could've, but expecting him to do that is absurd. Beterbiev is bigger at LHW than Canelo is at MW. He might still fight him in the future, but anyone expecting that of him have set their expectations impossibly high.
