For all you golf heads, if one of you could be so kind as to help.

I saw an article over the weekend in a mainstream British newspaper that argued that MMA was an inferior sport to boxing because the top fighters don't win as reliably.

This reminded me of hearing a golfer describe how in golf the top golfers rarely win as reliably as the top tennis players do in their sport.

Yet I thought Tiger Woods won all four major championships in one season?

Is there a way of looking up online how many tournaments Tiger Woods won in his peak season in comparison to how many tournaments he entered?

Tiger held all four simultaneously, but never won all four majors in one season.

Tiger did what Serena did by winning 4 consecutively but never completed the season slam.

Tiger is no longer in the conversation btw.
comparing sports is something bored journalists do.
Roger Federer makes the most on endorsements of any athlete, like 85million a year.
Serena aka "Tyson" Williams isn't even in the top 25.
Of the top ten earners, four are tennis players, three are NBA players and two are golfers.
Mickelson is number three on the list of endorsement earnings.

Not exactly on point, but I thought I'd digress a wee bit.

What about in regular pga tour events?

How often was Tiger winning those?

Is there a feature of regular tour events in comparison to "majors" that means the winner changes more?

E.g "majors" are contested as best over five rounds but regular tour events are best after hitting one round.
