The scariest thing is the unknown, long term side effects of an experimental drug that has already been administered to billions of people.

No, you're just fucking stupid. Unvaccinated people under 60 die at a rate of 2.5 per 100k. People over 60 regardless of vaccination status die at a much higher rate.

Chicago's murder rate is 18 per 100k. That is 7x more deadly than anyone under 60 dying from covid. Do you walk around scared of being murdered?

Even if 100% of the population was vaccinated there would still be cases and granny would still be dying..because covid kills old people..

The vaccines do not stop you from getting it, this shit is going to spread no matter what. A vax, at its best, will limit your symptoms. That's a great thing while they are effective, but it does not warrant mandating them.

The main goal of vaccines is to limit severe illness, not infection. Perhaps it will make it transmissible for a shorter time, that is also TBD.

What do you guys make of this article? It seems to argue a variety of points but doesnt directly answer if you get long lasting immunity from prior infection. I think its good to look at both sides but this article seems funky to me.

First off, I now highly doubt you are really interested in the safety data as you seem to feel threatened by my response to others that you identify with. Maybe you will prove me wrong? None of the people that I have responded to have a wait-and-see mentality as they mostly argue everything BUT that.

Not sure how you've arrived at this conclusion. I've only stated dozens of times in various COVID threads that I've been vaccinated since January. I work in IT that supports healthcare. So I deal with data all day every day.

You were not allowed in school without them. People in the military are required to get 17+ vaccinations. These things happen, it is not unprecedented.

Vaccine requirements aren't new. What's new is a mandate for such a new/young vaccine. That's what many folks aren't happy about. That doesn't make them anit-vax or ignorant.

But if Covid-19 was allowed to run rampant, and the vast majority of people didn't vaccinate, you would have hospitals with no beds, leading to people with all sorts of ailements and injuries not being treated. So just because you aren't at risk doesn't mean it isn't a serious issue.
