going on vacation in June and will spend 3 days in Hong Kong with 7 of my cousins who are around my age (20's) and 1 older cousin who lives there and will be our guide. I know nothing about HK. Where's the best places to meet girls? How are the women there? Excited about the food too. I plan on tricking out on some Chinese buffets. Thanks guys!

How are the women? How do you think they are? They all look 12 with no tits and bad teeth.

Go to TST, they have decent priced bespoke suits, see the Bruce Lee statue there, eat at lots of cha cha tengs, get some Jenny Bakery cookies, try Din Tai Fung dumplings, buy a fake Rolex, go clubbing. Can't help you last area, isn't my thing anymore.

Lol buffet.

If you have a guide you trust, just go with the flow. If your idea of Chinese food is buffet with fortune cookie at the end, prepare yourself for something completely different.

Hong Kong is over of the most overrated cities in the world. Sure it has a beautiful skyline but that's about the only thing it has going for it. I hate Cantonese food, tends to be too sweet. The women are incredibly materalistic. You are better off going to any other Asian country to meet women. The city itself (especially Kowloon) is so crowded and I'm not just talking about people. The buildings in HK are too close together and every hotel room is like living in a shoe box. It's also more expensive than the USA in my opinion. I remember going to Lan Kwai Fong (drinking area for younger people) and was shocked at how poor I felt. Most of the clubs there have dress codes or entrance fees and once you get inside it's not even worth staying.

There is one area that is famous for picking up girls. The name of the place is Wan Chai and it's were all the South East Asian women work. Most expats prefer these girls over local materialistic women. Many girls from these region work as maids and they all go there on Sunday afternoon (their only day off) to meet a guy and have fun.

So if locals or western girls are you thing Lan Kwai Fong, if you prefer South East Asians girls Wan Chai.

Shit heard about the Sunday nights being the best time to meet women. 3 days there I plan on bringing 1k just for the trip I hope it will be enough for everything since u says it's pretty expensive!

A small hotel room can be anywhere between 200-500 HKD depending on room availability. If it's really busy you're looking at about 500 (about $65 US). I can't remember the name of the area ATM but I remember that there's a bus that goes directly there from the airport (A21). It's easy to find.

I'll let you find out what the area is about for yourself.

You sound like you're too lazy to travel if you're so lazy you ask Sherdog (not a good source for information or serious help, just mostly silly responces) .... so don't go

I was just there. My second time there I really enjoy the place. Temple Street is cool, so is the ladies market. Take the ferry between Tsim Sha Tsui and Central, it's nice. Central is where you'll find the best pubs and bars (and women).

Symphony of Lights is alright in the evening. The waterfront is just a nice place to hang out.

Stay the fuck away from Chungking Mansions. Shit hole.

Good food all over, and really good shopping. You might as well hit Macau for a day as well.

Find the biggest, most badass looking dude there and punch them in the face as soon as you arrive

Otherwise no one else there will respect u

Look for a white American, mid-50's, male named "Goldenbear"...the Godfather will hook you up.

i agree that sherdog isn't the best place to find travel advice, but there are some knowledgeable travel folks on here as well.

for travel advice, i recommend lonely planet's travel forums. it's where i found tons of information on traveling europe and south america. they're well informed, and many of them contribute to the forums while traveling, so they have really up-to-date information.
