Me and my wife are planning to move to Canada, and i need to go in college there. Isn't it awkward to go into class with kids in their 18-20? I have no idea what young people are into today. I watched Community show and can relate to Pierce a lot. Does anyone have a similar experience? What should i expect?

You should ditch your wife, join a frat and bang 21 year old college chicks. You can report back to us.

I haven't experienced it but have you considered taking online lessons instead? There's a ton of websites that offer this (i just enrolled to Udemy) but i'm not sure if you're looking for a job that strictly requires you to be a graduate.

Nah, stay in your country. We don't need you taking advantage of our system.

    Hello, friend.

    Have you tried multi-level marketing?

I've done it. They will drastically change after first year. First year you think you are in middle school instead of college and second year you can see how the pressure of deadlines changed them for the better.

    1. Don’t care about what anyone else thinks or says

    2. Do the best for yourself and loved ones

With that out of the way, focus on studying not making friends or trying to fit in. Your objective is to graduate. Do it

No experience in this but I'd say it's not awkward if what you're doing is something you really want to pursue. There's no age limit on knowledge or learning or wanting to improve your life (or others').

How did they treat you? Are they made fun of you for being an old guy?

Well I don't look like my age and back then it was even more so, but one day a girl in my program obviously suspected something, asked how old I was across the class room and I said how old I was (30) and a couple of the 18 year olds went, "holy." It was a bit different after that, lol. I didn't feel ostracized or anything, because I didn't want to hang out with them. I was there for my education and I was a lot more focused than my first go around. By that same token I did get along with the smarter ones and a girl 11 years younger was basically attached to my hip the second year to the end of the program.

    And this happened in Canada.

    Where are you moving to?

Yeah but i don't want to be an old fart, who don't know all the newest trends and cool stuff. You need to talk with people in new country. I'm going to tell them that i'm 25 and hope they never found out

    Ontario most likely

I've never been in North American college obviously. Is it like they show in the movies? Or it's more strict and everyone focused on studying?

It's awesome. Do your work, ignore the kids for the most part, and go drink w/ the profs at lunch.

It's the shit. And it's easy as all hell.

Everyone is different. I've seen people flame out (drop out) after first semester. The demeanor changes as school moves along. A lot of them are away from their parents for the first time and think it is like the movies, then find out not so much outside of occasional partying. It goes back to what I said about how they are diffrerent come year two, after probably having dealt with stress for the first time in their lives, academically at least.

There is also a difference between college and university in Canada. College in Canada is like a junior college in the United States.

If there are projects that involve having a partner, try to find somebody closer to your age and not some 18 year old who will completely fuck off.
