Will it go down at least once a day, just like Steam?

Hopefully this lights a fire under Valve's ass... they seem to have accomodated and stopped improving Steam, since their only current competition is terrible (Origin and uPlay).

The notion of "ownership" is something that is unfortunately lost on these platforms, so it's nice to see GOG's emphasis on it. Will wait and see how this client turns out; if it's solid, given the chance of buying the same game on Steam or GOG, I'll much rather give them by money since at least I won't be screwed out of luck if the service eventually goes down or the company goes under.

I'm pretty sure Valve has on many occasions addressed that last concerned of yours, and that they would do whatever is necessary to make sure that if Steam ever does go down permanently or Valve goes under, you will still retain access to your games.

Much as would like it, they never said anything like that, not on record anyway.
