I saw somebody make one of these threads for GSP without putting his name in the title. I figured it'd be comparing several fighters but nope it was just GSP so I figured I'd do the same thing for Anderson Silva.

    Longest winning streaks:
    #1 Anderson Silva - 16
    #2 Jon Jones - 14
    #3 Georges St-Pierre - 13
    Max Holloway
    Demetrious Johnson
    #4 Tony Ferguson -11
    Khabib Nurmagomedov
    Royce Gracie

    Most Finishes In Title Fights:
    #1 Anderson Silva - 9
    #2 Matt Hughes - 8
    #3 Demetrious Johnson - 7
    #4 Ronda Rousey - 6
    Jon Jones
    #6 Chuck Liddell - 5
    Frank Shamrock
    Randy Couture
    B.J. Penn
    Georges St-Pierre

Most Knockouts in a title bout:
    #1 Anderson Silva - 7
    Chuck Liddell
    #2 Randy Couture - 5
    Matt Hughes

    Highest Significant Strike Percentage:
    #1Anderson Silva - 61%
    #2 Randy Couture - 59%
    #3 Fabio Maldonado - 58.87%
    #4 Cain Velasquez - 57.62%
    #5 Fabricio Werdum - 56.85%

    Most Knockdowns in any bout:
    #1 Anderson Silva - 18
    #2 Donald Cerrone - 14
    Chuck Liddell
    #4 Melvin Guillard - 13
    Shougun Rua
    Lyoto Machida
    Anthony Johnson
    Thiago Alves

    Most Knockdowns in Title Bouts:
    #1 Anderson Silva - 10
    #2 Chuck Liddell - 7
    #3 Georges St-Pierre - 6
    Cain Velasquez
    Conor Mcgregor

Silva also has the most KOTN bonuses and the longest single title run. You might also notice GSP's old buddy Hughes is higher than him in a couple of these categories.

At the end of the day the GOAT discussion is pretty stupid and people will twist it in favor of whichever fighter they're a fan of. If you go by these kinds of record then Silva is the GOAT, of you go simply by a fighters record inside of the UFC then Jones is the GOAT. If you combine these kinds of records with a fighters UFC record then the GOAT is GSP. GSP did retire in his prime though.

    MMA fans are weird
There is no need to put down other fighters due to your support of the fighter you like.

This GOAT talk amongst Silva fans, GSP fans, Fedor fans, Jones fans, and DC fans is redundant and childish.

Having said that Silva GOAT <{silvanormal}>

The GOAT is a toss between Jon Jones and Khabib.

They never fucked up inside the Octagon.

Khabib needs to beat Tony first though.

The reason I put GSP as GOAT,

In his prime (before the two knee surgeries)
    He didn't even lose rounds.

(from 07' to 13', he lost one Vs Jake Shield)

Silva and Jones lost a bunch
    (+ Peds)

Silva and Fedor can't be considered because of their weak TDD. Put them against true P4P kings GSP, Jones and DC they'll lose.

At least he still fights even at age 43 and didn’t quit fighting at age 32.

Sadly, decision/ point wins are not as definitive as beating your opponent so badly that they can't continue the fight.

    GSP Vs Fitch

    50-43 50-43 50-44

nothing more definitve than that imo.
Fitch was 7-0 in the UFC
went 5-0 after, he still wasn't close to get a rematch...

Conor Vs Aldo was more definitive?

I know it's chuck, but how can he have more knockouts than finishes in title bouts

Didn't run from the stricter drug testing either. GSP is still younger than Silva when Silva lost to Weidman, that's the funny thing.
